The Port of Everett, along with signature sponsor PND Engineers, invites the community and waterfront visitors to join us for a SAIL-ebration this summer, marking the 10th anniversary of Sail-in Cinema outdoor movies at the Waterfront Place.
This free, family-friendly waterfront movie series takes place every Friday night at Boxcar Park, kicking off July 25 and running through August 22, 2025.
Watch your pick of five movies on a 40-foot inflatable screen this summer. The marquee is set to feature some favorite flicks from the last decade along with a few new titles. Throwbacks, an uplifting sports story, a tribute to the maritime community, and fun characters make up the lineup this year.
Kids’ activities and concessions are available an hour before showtime, and movies begin following sunset. Come early to snag your spot on the lawn. Boating in is also an option at nearby guest docks.
Here is the 2025 Sail-In Cinema Movie Schedule & Planned Activities:
- July 25 @ 9:20 p.m. – “13 Going on 30” (PG-13) (1hr 38min) come early to learn the iconic “Thriller” dance with a tutorial from Seattle Thrillers and The Dance School
- August 1 @ 9:10 p.m. – “Million Dollar Arm” (PG) (2hr 4min) with a guest appearance by Webbly from the Everett Aquasox
- August 8 @ 9 p.m. – “The Finest Hours” (PG-13) (1hr 57min) with guests from Maritime Institute Everett to provide a glimpse at maritime careers
- August 15 @ 8:50 p.m. – “The Wild Robot” (PG) (1hr 42min) with a visit from the 2025 World Champion FIRST Robotics team from Everett’s Jackson High School
- August 22 @ 8:35 p.m. – “Cars” (G) (1hr 57min) – come early to explore cars from Pacific Northwest DeLorean Club and other local car clubs
A big shout-out to event sponsors: signature sponsor PND Engineers, gold sponsors GeoEngineers, Inc. and Stoel Rives, LLP, silver sponsors KPFF Consulting Engineers and Pacific Topsoils, Inc., and program advertisers Coastal Community Bank and Hotel Indigo.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Boxcar Park opens one hour before showtime for moviegoers to snag their spot on the lawn, enjoy music and yard games, grab free popcorn and check out concessions available for purchase.
Pack in low-back chairs and picnic blankets to the park. Don’t forget to dress in layers; it gets chilly (and often windy) on the waterfront at night.
Boaters – make a weekend out of it. You can boat into the Port of Everett Marina and moor at any of the Port’s Guest Docks. Guest moorage is available on a first-come, first-served basis or by reservation via DockWA. Limited movie viewing is possible from North Guest Dock 7, but we encourage you to walk up, as the viewing experience is best from the park.
In the event of inclement weather, a movie night may be canceled. Cancellations will be posted on the Port’s website, Facebook and Instagram platforms.
